In an interview with The Associated Press on the margins of a diplomacy forum in Turkey, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh also said his country will not hand over its enriched uranium to the United States, rejecting claims made by President Donald Trump.

Iranian and US officials are expected to hold talks on Friday to discuss a long-term settlement after the longtime foes agreed on a Pakistan-brokered two-week ceasefire to suspend a six-week-old war.

Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said Islamabad is maintaining lines of communication between Washington and Tehran, but that no date had been set for a next round of talks that has been agreed in principle between the two countries.
