A winter weather advisory was released by the National Weather Service on Friday at 8:48 p.m. in effect until Saturday at 10 a.m. for Sussex and Morris counties.
The forecast calls for freezing rain, sleet, and snow across Pennsylvania, with mountainous regions facing more severe conditions than the central areas.
The potential for flooding remains high because parts of the ground remain heavily saturated. Weather officials warn that rainfall will quickly turn into runoff.
Despite lower snow totals, a winter storm Friday is expected to bring “quite messy” conditions to the Lehigh Valley.
