Wisconsin Department of Emergency Management's ReadyWisconsin canceled the drill following the wave of severe weather that swept across the state April 14.

Multiple rounds of severe weather brought at least two confirmed tornadoes to south central Wisconsin Tuesday night.

Juneau County's April 14 tornado near Union Center has been rated an EF3, making it the strongest tornado in the state since 2021.

Wisconsin is getting more severe weather each year than past decades. Warmer weather has made severe weather season longer and more intense.

The National Weather Service confirmed that an EF2 tornado struck the Town of Lisbon, Wisconsin.

City of Brodhead officials said they were aware that outdoor warning sirens did not activate as expected during a tornado warning on Wednesday, April 15.

Risk of severe weather stretches across parts of the Midwest on Friday.

As least two tornadoes touched down in Wisconsin on Tuesday, April 14, causing major damage to buildings and businesses in southeast Wisconsin. In Waukesha County, the tornado was the most severe one the county has seen since 2010. Another more minor tornado touched down in southwest Marquette County.

Minnesota and Wisconsin conduct statewide tornado drills Thursday at 1:45 PM and 6:45 PM as part of Severe Weather Awareness Week.
